do we start developing what we want to build and putting in onto paper?
RCD is a full-service design-build company. We have all the professional
services that are needed to take your ideas and see them completed in the
building process. We assist you with design, architecture, engineering,
and landscaping services. We have interior decorators, space and flow
optimizers, and décor and furnishing specialists, all at your disposal.
How do we establish our budget?
We walk you through this process step-by-step. We start with a very broad
budget and refine the numbers as we go deeper into the design process. We
are cost-conscious, keeping in mind every dollar that is spent and using
it as if it were our own.
How long will it take to build our home?
On average, we take nine-twelve months to build a house. However, there
are outside factors to consider such as weather, site work, the size of
the home and the degree of difficulty. These all play a role in the time
frame for developing your residence.
Do I need to worry about mold in our new
home?
No. We can apply a product on the entire frame of your house that will
kill all mold spores. It has a residual affect that will last at least 25
years. P.C.G., the manufacturer of this product, will write you a 25-year
full remediation warranty for the home in which this product is used.
Will dampness or a musty smell be an issue
in our basement?
No, these issues will not arise with our basement system. We install
Superior Wall Systems for our basement walls. They are pre-cast 5000 P.S.I.,
reinforced, and insulated concrete panels. Your basement comes with a
15-year written factory waterproof warranty. We then spray on an
additional sixty mil of waterproof coating on the outside of the walls for
added waterproofing protection. A supplemental manufacturer’s warranty
comes with this membrane. Normally our basement walls can be set in just
one day. This speeds up the construction process in comparison to
conventional block basements.
